Compounding Pharmacy & Investigations

Oh my goodness!  So, I posted about the Framingham, Massachusetts compounding pharmacy responsible for the contaminated epidural injections and other products, causing the current meningitis outbreak.  Well, did you hear that the pharmacy has been accused of operating outside the limits of its license? 

Yep!  The pharmacy was raided by the FDA, but the investigation is still ongoing. Apparently, it's not just epidural products that are under scrutiny, either!  Now, it's contamination and illegal distribution of narcotics that are areas of interest...  So, we won't know the official details until the investigations are concluded.  Meanwhile, another source of infection has been identified, more infected patients have been reported, and more people have died.  We're up to 15 affected states now, as far north as New Hampshire, down to Florida, and as far west as Idaho.
